Description: Let’s salute the Nation on this auspicious day of 75 years of Independence. Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at St. Xavier School. The school was decorated with tricolour balloons. To commemorate the sovereignty of our Nation, honourable chief guest Mr. Pranav Ghai, Manager, Bank of Baroda unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. Savleen Kaur , a student of Std.10th took us down the memory lane when she spoke on the freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, and Subhash Chandra Bose etc. who played an important role in Indian independence. The students of IV-VI in their melodious voices sang the Patriotic song- that awakened everyone’s feelings towards the Mother Land. Students of classes VII-X performed group dances showing the spirit of Patriotism. Students of Primary wing also performed beautiful cultural events with full enthusiasm Honourable Chief guest, Mr. Pranav Ghai and Rev. Father John Maria Vianney, Manager of the schools enlightened us all with their knowledgeable words . The program culminated with Vote of Thanks. At the end sweets were distributed to the students. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and Unity in Diversity
